Quilting Techniques: Foundation Piecing
Foundation Piecing is a quilting technique using fabric or paper as a base to build your quilt block.
We are beginning a series of Technique classes for making quilt blocks. Each class will have a print-out explaining the technique and you will stitch a sample of that technique in class. There are three basic techniques, Foundation and Paper Piecing, English Paper Piecing, and Applique’ that we will be learning in these classes. English Paper Piecing and Applique can be stitched by machine or by hand. If stitching by hand, this makes a great project to keep in a bag to work on anywhere!
Materials provided or you can bring your scraps. All of these techniques are a great way to use all those scraps!
